Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2015

"Infuse finery into folk fantasy with the modern nomad in mind.”

With Elie Saab stuck to what he knows best: classic lace, modern body-conscious gowns, and luxurious colour palettes, adding folkish and fantastical elements into the mix, from stunning harvest embroidery to generous volumes.
Elie Saab designed his collection with the modern day woman in mind and found inspiration from folklore fantasy. With these two factors in mind he fabricated an elegant collection with fur, embroidery, lace, floral patterns and flared skirts. The collection is enhanced with stunning red and rich purple embroidered flowers, black lace detailing, with leather accents and fur adding a luxury aspect to the collection. The collection hints at nostalgia with an early 1970s feel to it with a hint of Oriental aesthetics. The collection also included solid color ensembles: black, creamy pink, amethyst and an intense cardinal red were it's key tones.

If you'd like more structure to to your outfit opt for A-line jacket or a fitted, wide leg pantsuit.

The collection also includes full skirted gowns with bell sleeves, floral brocade ball skirts, long fur-lined black coats, party dresses and jackets with cutout details.  The red and purple flowers add dimension and texture without adding the typical Saab beading. The rich fabric with raised floral print patch-worked onto a classic champagne gown, a first for Elie Saab, adds elegance. The mimicked lace on party dresses and ball skirts contributes to Elie Saab's Romantic, feminine style.

Zac Posen SS15

For Spring/Summer 2015, Zac Posen has once again created minimalistic garments which has resulted in a sleek and satisfiying collection. Posen knows that intelligent dressing is the sexiest dressing there is and displayed this with his divine little collection of classic pieces.

In the SS15 there is more daywear than usual, Posen has created, Elegantly Tailored suit seperates, shift, and off-shoulder cocktail dresses. These are excellent staples for the wardrobe of everyday woman!

In typical Posen style the collection revolves around a three colour palette of cream, jet black, and fire-engine red. Zac has emphasised structure and tailoring rather than extravagant embellishment. This refined aesthetic is a tradition for Posen, who is known more for red carpet gowns than, say, workwear-appropriate suits.

Posen doesn’t abandon his fantasy side altogether and shows a series of stunning looks for the evening, which include several luxurious, sculptured, sleeveless gowns. No one knows structure like Zac Posen. His gowns have a life of their own, with beautiful boning and striking silhouettes. His structured looks in classic colours stand out from the flowy pastels we've seen so much of this season. The shape of the dresses did one of two things for the body, streamlined the feminine or amplified the natural flow of the silhouette with classic ballooned skirts, framing assets immaculately.
